Stewart A. Alboucq Stewart A. "Q" Alboucq, 61, of Mahoning Valley, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 16, in The Kindred Hospital Philadelphia, Havertown. He was the husband of Karen A. (Karas) Alboucq. They would have been married for 41 years this Nov. 1. Born in Clarkston, WA, he was a son of Patricia (Adams) Alboucq of Washington State and the late Louis Alboucq. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank SP 4. He started his career in railroad service with the Reading Railroad as a rail man, and later worked in the same capacity for Conrail and advanced to the position of project/track supervisor for SEPTA, retiring with 36 years of service.He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lehighton, and American Legion Post 314, Lehighton, and its Vietnam War Last Man's Club, where he was a past sergeant-at-arms. Alboucq volunteered his time with the Lehighton Area Pool Pals and coached for the Franklin Township Little League and the Lehighton Area Booster Club Navy football team. "Q" was an avid follower of the Lehighton Indians sports programs and the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed spending time with his loving wife and family and taking his grandchildren fishing. Surviving in addition to his widow and mother are two sons, Brian, and his wife, Natalie, of Lehighton, and Sean, and his companion, Meaghan Flynn, of Doylestown; a sister Debra, wife of Bob Bacon, and a brother Terry, and his wife, Lina, both of Washington State; two grandchildren, Evelyn and Ian Alboucq; and many nieces and nephews. Service: Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 242 N. Third St., Lehighton, with the Rev. Michael E. Ahrensfield officiating. Interment with full military honors, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Lehighton, under direction of Lehighton Area UVO. Call 8-9:30 a.m. Thursday.
