Steven Mark Olson Naples, FL Steven Mark Olson, 65, a long-time resident of Naples, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 4, 2016. Steve was born on March 16, 1951 in Mexico City, Mexico to Donald and Anne Olson (both deceased), missionaries for Wycliffe Bible Translators. He first attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois and then graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, where he met and married his soulmate, Jeanie ("Netzie") Taber. Steve earned his Naval Aviator's Wings in the Navy, and flew for both People Express and Federal Express, where he worked for 26 years and retired as a Captain in 2012. Steve loved his family, embraced life, and found adventure in flying. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jeanie; his son, Eric Steven; his daughter, Kira Lynn; his sister, Sanna, and her husband Don Williams; his sister, Sharon Rose; and many in-laws, cousins, relatives, and other loved ones who will miss him greatly. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Naples, Florida on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow at the church. A military burial service at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Avenue North, will follow thereafter at 3:30.
