Steve R. HAJDU
HAJDU, Steve R. 82, passed away in peace on Tuesday October 11, 2016 with his loving family by his side in Santa Rosa, CA. Steve was born in 1933 in Sárospatak, Hungary. Steve made a wonderful life after escaping to this country with very little. He married his wife, Patricia, in 1964 and had three beautiful children, and resided in Healdsburg, CA. His life was full of happiness and joy. He was known for the largest tomatoes in town, for his traditional Hungarian cooking, his love of gardening, and his giving and care for others. Steven volunteered his time through the Odd Fellows club and Elk's club. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was part of the Easy Living Camper club for many years. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 52 years and his children Julianna Hajdu of Santa Rosa, Margaret Hajdu-Martin (Kenny) of Santa Rosa, and John Hajdu (Suzanne) of Rockwall, Texas. And is survived by his loving grandchildren Emily Martin, Andrew Martin, Tanner Hajdu, and Kennedy Hajdu. Along with his precious dog Gina. Family and friends are invited to attend a service in his honor on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses, 1225 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa.
