Stella D. (Lasota) Dodge 1924 - 2016 UTICA - Stella D. (Lasota) Dodge, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Sitrin Health Care Center. Stella was born on July 29, 1924, in Utica, the daughter of Ludwik and Rozalia (Kotlarz) Lasota. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. Stella married Howard J. Dodge on April 28, 1951, in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. They enjoyed a blessed marriage of 51 years prior to his death on April 6, 2002. Stella was employed with Fleet Bank, prior to retiring. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. Stella was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved the holidays and her Sunday dinners with family. Surviving are her daughters and a son-in-law, Marcia and Dr. George Schilling, New Hartford, and Lisa Dodge, Utica; grandchildren, Breann (Richard Harvey) Dodge, Clay; daughter-in-law, Carol Dodge, Fulton; sister-in-law, Florence Brooks, Whitesboro; and several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Mary Ellen Gaetano and Carole (Gary) Glatt. Stella was predeceased by her beloved son, Brian Dodge; sister, Genevieve (William) Simard; brothers, Stephen (Emily) Lasota and Matthew (Wanda) Lasota; and special sister-in-law, Carole Weisse. She was also predeceased by many in-laws of the Dodge family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. The family will receive guests following Mass. Private inurnment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Yorkville.
