In memory of
BARD--Stanley, the legendary manager/co-owner of the historic Chelsea Hotel, whose extraordinary dedication to the struggling artists and out of the box thinkers, led him to be known as the Robin Hood to the artistic and cultural community, has died on February 14, 2017, at the age of 82, in his home city of Boca Raton, Florida. Under Stanley's leadership, the Chelsea Hotel was recognized as the worldwide Mecca of creativity. He is the proud father of David and Michele, wonderful father-in-law to Matthew and Debbie, and devoted grandpa to Allison, Justin, Benjamin, Amanda, and Myles and brother-in-law to Sylvia. Stanley was born in the Bronx in 1934 to David and Fanny Bard with an older brother Milton. He leaves an indelible mark with his family and friends as well as the cultural pulse of New York City. Rest In Peace with your beautiful wife Alice. Service 10am, Thursday at Temple Emanu-El of Closter, 180 Piermont Rd., Closter, NJ.
