PANSARI T/Sgt. Skelly (USAF retired), of Paterson and Wrightstown, NJ, passed away on October 7th at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Pasquale Pansari and Mae Pansari (Cofrancesco). Mr. Pansari's life was one of commitment to serving our country, in the United States Air Force, at bases throughout the world. His tours of duty included numerous Strategic Air Command and missile bases throughout the United States. Further deployments sent him to DEW (Distant Early Warning) Line Operations in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, with added time served at air bases in Turkey, Spain, Korea and Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. He served with the 401st Tactical Fighter Wing Supply Squadron, the 568th Strategic Missile Squadron and the 314th Troop Carrier Wing, during his 25 years of service. On discharge from service, he received the Oak Leaf Cluster Medal of Commendation for his meritorious service in the Air Force. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Non-Commissioned Officers Club, and a Bronze Leader award recipient of the Disabled American Veterans Commander Club and a member of the Royal Order of Moose. Mr. Pansari is survived by his sister Bernice Hembrough and her husband, Alan, and his nephews Gregor and his wife Ann Marie, Jordan Hembrough and his wife Jane, and niece, Janna DeFabrizio and her husband, Nicola. He also was great uncle to Emma and Sofie Hembrough, Will and Evie Roberts and Luca and Isabella DeFabrizio. Cremation services were private.
