Shirley Mae Grosjean 1927 - 2017 Shirley Mae Grosjean, 89, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Kenosha the daughter of the late Wally and Edna (Fiegel) Dahn. She lived in Kenosha from 1927-2015; then moved to Utah to be closer to her family. She was educated in local Wisconsin schools. Shirley married John William Grosjean on Dec. 10, 1946, at Peace Lutheran Church in Wilmot, Wis. John passed away on Sept. 17, 1971. She worked for Montgomery Wards for 45 years. She volunteered at United Hospital Kenosha Campus, and was a past member of Kenosha Senior Center. She loved to play cards and was an avid gardener. She loved to be in the outdoors. She liked to travel out west and go camping with her family. She often said how close she felt to God in the majestic mountains of the west. She always felt at peace there. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Roy) Maucher and daughter-in-law, Allyn Grosjean, both of Sandy, Utah; four grandchildren: Allyssa, Michelle, Kimberly and Amber. She had ten great grandchildren; Indy, Bryant, Boston, Chandra, Lilianne, Abby, Caillean, Fionna, Lottie and Lucie. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John, son Micheal John Grosjean Oct. 11, 1995. A grandson, Timothy Allen Maucher April 2, 2005. Longtime companion Vernon L. Massie March 2, 2005. Memorials can be made to Huntsman Cancer Research Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 , from 12 noon-1 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Services.
