Sheryl Reynolds Edge Sheryl Reynolds Edge, 77, passed away February 14, 2017, in the care of Hospice Home of High Point. A private service of interment will precede a Celebration of Life service to be held at 2 pm Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Watford officiating. Following the service, family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church.  Sheryl was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on March 1, 1939 to the late John Bradley and Mildred Varner Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John; daughter Stacy E. Fogleman (Mike) of Jamestown; son, John Bryan Edge of Greenville, NC; granddaughter Jenny Marie Fogleman and grandson Michael Wyatt Fogleman, Jr., both of Jamestown. Also surviving is her sister Sharla R. Gardner (Richard) of Jamestown. After living in several locations, her family moved to Melbourne, Florida in 1953. While attending Melbourne High School she met John Edge on January 1, 1955 and they became a couple for the next 62 years. Sheryl graduated from Melbourne High School in 1957 and a secretarial school in Washington, D.C. in 1958. For the next several years she worked at various secretarial positions including Patrick Airforce Base. She and John were married on June 18, 1960 in Melbourne, Florida and Sheryl continued working while John attended Florida State University. After he graduated Sheryl began a lifetime of volunteering at various community organizations. The family would like the thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Hayworth Cancer Center in High Point for their loving care of Sheryl and the family for the past two and a half years. Special thanks to Dr. George Sanders for his commitment and personal attention to her and her family on her journey. Also, special thanks and appreciation are extended to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hospice House of High Point for their incredible care for Sheryl in her last days.
