In memory of
Sammy Eugene Shawhart
Sammy "Sam" Eugene Shawhart, age 69, was born January 29, 1947 in Boswell, OK the son of Clemmy Eugene Shawhart and Geneva Charlene (Thomas) Shawhart. He grew up in between Oklahoma and California, between the ages of 9 and 14 he learned his skill as a mechanic. Sam was a loving son and big brother! He was a mechanic, logger, police officer, race car driver and "trucker". He drove fast and loved the thrills of life. Sam married Pamela Waggoner on August 31, 1966 in Hugo OK. He first became a father in 1967 and from then on his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his world. They settled in Hugo OK in 1971. Sam always had a smile on his face, and a hand to lend. He touched so many lives, there truly was never a greater man. In his spare time him and his brother went to car shows and collected old cars, boats and jet skis. Anything with a motor they would conquer. Sam fought a long battle with heart disease, on October 13, 2016 he lost his battle and went on to join his parents, his brother Timmy and best friend Charlie in paradise. He will be so deeply missed by all who knew him.
