Lambert, Sally A. 78 June 03, 1938 Oct. 11, 2016 The Rev. Sally (Sarah) Anne (Foose) Lambert died Oct. 11, 2016, following a heart attack. Born June 3, 1938 in Topeka, Kan., she graduated from Washburn University with a BA in Communications. She received an MA in Counseling Psychology from George Fox University, Portland. She was married to Jack Lambert for 21 1/2 years and they had two children, Jim and Melissa. Sally and Jack owned and operated World Travel Agency in Salina, Kan. for five years. Sally spent her life in service to others through the Girl Scouts and Mother to Mother Ministry in Kan.; and addiction and mental health services in Kan., Ore. and Wash. She was ordained to the diaconate in The Episcopal Church June 18, 1983 in the Diocese of Western Kansas where she served at Christ Cathedral in Salina, Kan. In 1987, Sally moved to Portland, where she served in multiple Episcopal churches. Education For Ministry, the Order of St. Luke, and the Cursillo movement benefited from her ministry. She enjoyed classical music, mystery novels, her pets, and her volunteer work at Hoyt Arboretum. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Sarah (Chambers) Foose; and her son, Jim Lambert. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Lambert) Livengood; her grandchildren, Madison E. Livengood and Chase B. Livengood; those she served in a lifetime of ministry; and all those who love her. Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Portland. In lieu of flowers Sally requested donations be made to Washburn University Foundation, Topeka, Kan.; Columbia River Mental Health Services, Vancouver, Wash; or the church ministry of your choice.
