Sally Jo Albea, 82, of Attica, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:25 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Williamsport Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 9, 1934 to the late Clifford and Evelyn Bauer in Lafayette. Sally is a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School in Lafayette. She held many different jobs along life's journey. She also had many different interests and hobbies including bowling, reading, puzzles, crocheting, watching musicals, listening to music, and feeding the wild birds and stray cats in the neighborhood. Sally loved her many pets, always having dogs, cats, or birds. Sally was well known as the hat lady in recent years, having quite a collection. She was also a member of the Attica Free Methodist Church. Sally was married to Jack Lee Albea of Covington on Dec. 24, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2007. She will be missed by her sister Phyllis (Shelby) Pettry of Lafayette, IN; her son Clifford (Renee) Albea of Attica; her grandchildren and pride and joy, Karrissa McHone, Adam McHone, and Jalan Albea, all of Attica; and one great-grandson Nolan Watson of Attica. Graveside services were held March 15, 2017 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paws and Claws of Attica.
