Ryan Eric Warren, 56, of Kanorado, Kan. passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at Good Samaritan Home with his mother and brother at his side. He was born April 14, 1960, to Arnold and Edna (Gramm) Warren in Goodland, Kan. He attended school at Kanorado and Goodland, graduating in 1978. He was baptized in the Methodist Church making him a member of the Church Universal. He attended college at Fort Hays University and graduated in 1982 and also attended Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland for two years. He worked in companies such as Alco, Great Western Sugar, Golden West, Kanorado Co-op Station and drove a school bus. It became evident at a young age that he had some hearing loss. As time went on, the hearing loss would get progressively worse to profound; that and other health issues would be a stumbling block for any social life or employment throughout his lifetime. Ryan was a unique person. He had a sharp mind for mathematics and remembering names and birthdays was easy for him. He remembered birthdays on both sides of the extended family members, many members of the community as well as many past classmates. He had a fascination with US Presidents being able to name them in proper succession and telling many interesting details about their lives. Thanksgiving and Christmas were favorite times for Ryan. He loved the family dinners. He also loved the Christmas Eve Candle Services singing all the traditional Christmas carols. Much of his pastimes was spent on the computer – places like Facebook where he could keep up with friends or doing some sort of research. Watching sports on TV and attending games and doing crossword puzzles in the newspaper would take up his time. Preceding him in death was his grandparents, his father Arnold (June 20, 2011), and three cousins, several uncles and aunts. Survivors include his mother Edna Warren of Kanorado; his brother Rick (Saundra) Warren of Goodland, Kan.; niece Kama (Bill) Toombs of Brewster, Kan., her children Michael Fellhoelter, Dakota and Tanner Enslow; nephew Brandon Warren, Goodland, Kan. and children Skyler, Seth and Alexander; three aunts and one uncle and cousins. Services were held at the Bateman Funeral Home, Goodland, Kan. Burial was at the Kanorado Cemetery.
