Stampe, Ryan Alan was born October 14, 1981 and died October 9, 2016. He grew up in Anaheim Hills, California and graduated from Canyon Hills High School in 1999, and became a Lifeguard for Huntington Beach. He then graduated from the Yuba Fire Academy and became a Fire Fighter with the Corona Fire Department and later joined the Anaheim Fire Department, where his career was tragically cut short when he was critically injured in a hit and run accident while he was fighting a car fire. Undeterred, he retrained to become a helicopter pilot and worked for Helistream Inc. in Newport Beach where he trained Police, FireFighters and US Border patrol pilots. He eventually found his way into the power line industry keeping power supplied to the community working for Summit Helicopters, Rogers Helicopters, Rotorblade Inc. and most recently Ryan joined the elite group of pilots at Southern California Edison Aircraft Operations. Unfortunately, once again Ryan's career was tragically cut short when on October 6th, Ryan was critically injured as a pedestrian in a vehicle accident. Ryan passed away on October 9th 2016. Ryan loved spending time with his friends and family, and action sports. He was an avid black diamond skier, rock climber, surfer, scuba diver, mountain and trail bike rider, and had just taken up sailing. He is survived by his mother and father, Marilyn and Steven Bonkowski; his grandmother Violet Quist; his sisters' families, Kellylynne and Anthony Gaez, Brandi and Mike Pooley; his brothers' families, Christopher and Kathryn Bonkowski and Brion Bonkowski; and five nieces and nephews: Faith Pooley, Sophia Gaez, Joshua Gaez, Max Bonkowski, and Sloan Bonkowski.
