Kramer Ruth Eunice Chidester Kramer, "Ruthie, Mom, Grandma Ruth", 84, of Westerville, Ohio, was promoted to glory on October 16, 2016. A two-time cancer survivor, Ruth passed away after a long battle with Lewy Body Disease. Ruth was born in Columbus, Ohio on September 3, 1932. She graduated from University High School in Columbus, Ohio. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and graduated from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio as a Pi Beta Phi member with a degree in Interior Design. On the same day of her graduation, June 10, 1955, she married Ben M. Kramer. Ruth worked with Ben in the paint business they owned, Kramer Paints, as an interior designer. She was actively involved in Serving My Master, Grace Brethren Church's girl's ministry for 20 years. She led backyard bible studies in her neighborhood was a cookie baker for Kairos Cookie Ministry and worked as a Missionary Lady at Grace Brethren Church for Ed and Polly Jackson and other missionaries. She was always involved in arts and crafts projects at home and at church. She was a member of the Junior League of Columbus and she also volunteered for the Pregnancy Decision Health Center. Ruth loved people, she never met a stranger. Ruth was preceded in death by her oldest brother Stan Chidester, lost in WW II. Ruth is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ben; children, Douglas, Cynthia and Bradley; grandchildren, Aaron, Hannah, Dan and Katie; sister, Mary Ackley; and brothers, Tom and Bob Chidester. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. at GRACE CHURCH of POWELL, 7600 Liberty Rd. N., Powell, OH. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of 270). Interment Glen Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Kobacker House or Pregnancy Decision Health Center. Her family wishes to thank the Kobacker House and their staff for the wonderful care she received as she prepared to meet her maker and savior for eternity.
