MANCHESTER - Ruth King Joyal died peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Manchester to Michael King and Anne Lydon King. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Richard J. Joyal, and by her six siblings, former New Hampshire Governor John W. King, Mary K. Reeves, Agnes K. Tessier, Monica K. McAfee, Winifred K. Hayes and infant Anne King. She is survived by her three children, Attorney Richard J. Joyal and his spouse, Susan, Monica Joyal Slaughter and her spouse, Wayne, and Ruth Joyal Morrison and her spouse, Bruce, along with four grandchildren, Michael Morrison, Kelsey Morrison, Eric Joyal and Ethan Joyal. She taught herself to play the piano as a child and for the rest of her life her love of music and the company of others resulted in song and laughter wherever she was present, enhanced by her happy spirit, kindness and sincerity. She was a successful executive secretary, wife and mother and she showed by example the meaning of leading a good and dignified life. . SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Burial services will be private.
