Ruth Johnson BUFFALO — Mrs. Ruth D. Johnson, 95, of Buffalo S.C., widow of Mr. Fred E. Johnson, went to her heavenly home Friday, January 13, 2017 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. She was born in Blackwater Virginia July 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Kine and Victoria Robinette Davis. Mrs. Johnson was a WWII veteran and served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC). She was of Christian faith. Ruth is remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her grandchildren children very much. Left to cherish loving memories are one son, Mike Johnson and wife Carol of Buffalo; five grandchildren, Neal Armstrong of Jonesville, Sherry Kerr and husband Howard of Buffalo, Amanda Wright and husband Trey of Myrtle Beach, Dallas Sims Grogan of Greensboro, Michelle Hearn and husband Cody of Union; seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Diane Sims and Debra Haney, as well as a great-granddaughter Chelsea Horne. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Ray Harold Belue officiating Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends Sunday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Lewis Funeral Home. The family is at the home of her son, 1419 Main Street Buffalo S.C. 29379.
