Rudolph J. Preisendorfer
Rudolph J. Preisendorfer GLENFORD- Rudolph J. Preisendorfer, 85, passed away Saturday. Jan. 7, 2017, at Kingston Hospital. Born March 31, 1931 in Hackensack, N.J., he was the son of the late Casper and Natalie Hoya Preisendorfer and had resided in the area for the past 60 years. Rudy served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and moved to the area after his service. He was employed by IBM for the next 30 years until his retirement. He is a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was an active member of the Reservoir United Methodist Church and served on many committees, and was a charter member of the Glenford Fire Department. An avid birdwatcher, he was a member of the Cornell Bird Feeder Watch. He was an avid camper and enjoyed the Adirondacks. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Collignon Preisendorfer, March 24, 2016. Surviving are his sons, Eric (Diane) and Ward (Heather) Preisendorfer; two grandsons, Matthew and Michael; brother, Edward of Oregon; sister, Diane Andrusko of New Jersey; and sister-in-law, Joan Clark of Shokan. Friends will be received Wednesday 5-8 p.m. at the Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St., Woodstock. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Reservoir United Methodist Church, Shokan.
