In memory of
Roy Nelson Seabolt Henderson, Ky. Roy Nelson Seabolt, age 90, of Savannah, Ga., passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, in Atlanta, Ga., with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren at his side. Mr. Seabolt was born on June 8, 1926, in Gainesville, Ga., to Thomas and Clara Seabolt. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II. After the war he settled in Henderson, Ky., and worked and lived here his entire adult life. He retired from Agrico Chemical Company. He had been a member of Cash Creek Baptist Church, Earl Street Baptist Church and a charter member of Ambassador Baptist Church. Roy was a member of the Jerusalem Lodge #9, F&AM, York- Rite Bodies of Henderson, Scottish Rite Bodies of Madisonville and a Kentucky Colonel. Roy was married to Lorene Griffin Seabolt for 48 years before her passing in 1996. He later married Frieda Dauby Seabolt and spent 17 years together before her passing in 2015. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert L. Seabolt and John W. Seabolt; and one sister, Anna Hale. Survivors include son-in- law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Cynthia Schnabel; two grandsons, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and Stephanie Schnabel and Mr. Jonathan Schnabel; great-grandson, Mr. Conner Schnabel, all of Savannah, Ga. He was also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family members of both marriages. Relatives and friends are invited to Roy's Life Celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016, and again on Monday starting at 9 a.m. at Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, Ky. A Masonic service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services for Roy will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, at Tapp Funeral Home with Reverend Elmer Shelby officiating. Burial will follow in Cash Creek Cemetery, Henderson County, Ky. Full Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
