Rosemary (Gluhanick) Wargo-Etzle, 83, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on April 12, 2017, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. Born on Jan. 16, 1934, in Wilkes-Barre, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia (Walsh) Gluhanick. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1951, and formerly employed at Thrift Drug. She was a faithful member of St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception and St. Aloysius. She enjoyed volunteering at yearly bazaars, traveling and participating in various local clubs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence; sisters, Katherine and Karen; and brother, Michael. Rosemary is survived by her son, Shawn Wargo and companion, Tracy Gimble; grandchildren, Pastor Joshua Wargo and wife, Whitney, Sarah Buczek and husband, Martin, Robert, Matthew and Jessica Wargo; great-grandson, Jacob Buczek; sisters, June Swida and husband, Leonard and Margaret McGlynn and husband, Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the Gardens at Wyoming Valley and Geisinger Wyoming Valley for their care and compassion. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Those attending are asked to go directly to church Tuesday morning. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Memorial visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
