RoseAnn (De Sarro) Davis of Scranton passed away Friday April 14, 2017. She leaves behind the love of her life and best friend, Norman, with whom she was blessed to share 50 years of happy marriage. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Piazza De Sarro and was educated in Scranton schools. RoseAnn was a caring person who was always one step ahead of anticpating others' needs, and she went out of her way to make them feel cared for. She was an avid crafter who enjoyed quilting and baking, and took great pride in preparing and attending the family reunion each year. However, her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy; they were the sparkle in her eye and the center of her life. Also surviving are her children, Kristine Marie Boylan and husband, Brian, Harvey's Lake; Wendy Leigh Davis, Maryland; and James Bryan Davis and wife, Jaqueline; two grandchildren, Samantha Rutkowski and James Michael Davis; two sisters, Mary Frances Ventura and Antanine Kane; a brother, Ralph De Sarro; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. The funeral will be Wednesday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Monastery Basilica Church, 1230 St. Ann's St., Scranton. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery. Family and friends may call Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., PA 18411.
