Jagodzinski, Ronald R. Ronald R. Jagodzinski, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI (Town of Sigel), died Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Town of Sigel, WI. Fr. Bob Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI from 4:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday at the Church from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be at the Holy Rosary Parish Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post #485 of Rudolph. Ron was born August 22, 1930 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Leonard and Agnes (Tomczyk) Jagodzinski. He married Delores Schmick on June 22, 1953 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She preceded him in death on March 20, 2011. Ron was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High School and later attended Michigan State University in Lansing, MI. He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc. in their Paperboard Products Division for 38 years retiring as a supervisor in August 1992. Ron served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from January 1951 until December 1954. He was discharged as a staff/sergeant with the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft control and warning squadron ground radar mechanic during the conflict spending the last year with the 719th aircraft control and warning squadron on a remote radar station in Alaska. Ron was a member of the American Legion Post #485 of Rudolph, WI; was a member of the South Wood County Cancer Society, the Holy Rosary Church Council and the Holy Name Men's Group. He worked with making crafts on yard displays and bird houses; enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and yard work and looked forward to attending sports activities of children and grandchildren. Ron also enjoyed talking to former employees and monthly breakfast with former supervisors and card playing with friends. Ron is survived by four children, Diane (Steve) Stashek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Dennis Jagodzinski of Appleton, WI, Duane (Lizbeth) Jagodzinski of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Cheryl (Clarence) Koch of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Chad (Sadie) Stashek of Portland, OR, Craig Stashek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Corey Stashek of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Megan Eisch, Amanda (Torey) Kauth of River Falls, WI, Dr. Jason (Tracie) Jagodzinski of Walnut Creek, CA, Jon (Ginny) Jagodzinski of Junction City, WI, Curtis Koch of Beaver Dam, WI, Zachary (Samantha) Koch of Appleton, WI and Cody Koch of Oshkosh, WI; and 5 great grandchildren, Julia Kauth, Finn Kauth, Johannah Jagodzinski, Claire Jagodzinski and Evan Jagodzinski. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Delores and three brothers, Leonard Jr., Clarence and Ervin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to American Legion Post #485 of Rudolph or to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
