COFFEY, RONALD F., 75, of Narragansett and Lighthouse Point, Fl. died Sunday at South County Hospital. He was the husband of Lillian M. (Hanley) Coffey. Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis V. and Madeline I. (Pelletier) Coffey, he had been a resident of Narragansett for 35 years. Mr. Coffey was a manager for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years before retiring in 1996. He served in the U.S Navy. Ron was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Colleen M. Coffey of West Warwick; a son Ron and Mum-Sou Coffey of Cranston; his grandchildren, Nickolas, David and Veronica Coffey. He was the brother of the late Joan McSweeney. His funeral will be Friday at 8:15 from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett at 10 AM. Calling Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Burial will be private.
