Ronald E. Barry MANSFIELD: Ronald E. Barry, 83, of Mansfield, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his residence. Born May 24, 1933 in Mansfield, he was the son of Clyde L. and Evalyn (Glass) Barry. Ronald was a 1951 graduate of Mansfield Senior High and was a local home builder for many years. He then formed Ron Barry Electrical Service where he had many loyal customers. He was a 50 year plus member of Bethel E.C. Church and currently a 20 year member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he served as a Trustee, Sunday School teacher and usher and truly enjoyed the mission trips with his church. He was a member of the former Marquis Lodge #690 F&AM and then Venus Lodge #152 F&AM. He was also a member of Modern Woodmen of America. Although a quiet man, Ron enjoyed joking and teasing with people and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. Ron loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed coin collecting, bird watching and traveling ~ especially to Myrtle Beach. Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley "Babe" (Ohl) Barry whom he married April 12, 1952; two daughters, Pamela (Darrell) Corwin and Jill (Dennis) Horvath; a son, Michael (Autumn) Barry; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Norma (Frank) Muse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ronda Smith; a son-in-law, Cliff Smith; and a brother, Charles Barry. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1592 Grace Street, Mansfield, Ohio, conducted by Rev. Robert Stull. Burial will take place at a later date in Vermillion Cemetery, Hayesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or OhioHealth Hospice.
