Roderick Paul DEATON
DEATON, Roderick Paul Age 70, of Trenton, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center, where he had been a patient for three days. He was born May 13, 1946 in Middletown, Ohio and graduated from Fenton High School in Bensenville, Illinois. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, on the U.S.S. Cascade. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall. Preceding in in death were his mother and step-father, Marian and William R. Spiegel; and his wife Rita on February 5, 2017. He is survived by four children, Saletta (Bill) Meyers, James (Kristen) Arrowood, Jeannie Arrowood, and Marian Fultz; six grandchildren, Rita, John, Jonathan, Jeannie Marie, James "D.J." and Roderick "Tonker"; five great grandchildren, Derrin Kinley, Adilyn, Jaelynn, and Rylee; and extended family and friends. A Celebration Of Life service will be held Monday, February 20, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall, 6556 Hamilton-Middletown Road, Middletown, Ohio, with Elder Ronald Buchanan officiating.
