Robert L. Willis
Robert Luther Willis, 88, of Foxboro, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 10, 2017 at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris E. (Boyden) Willis who passed in 2009. Born in Norwood, MA on December 12, 1928, he was a son of the late Harold W. and Melba B. (Sawyer) Willis. Robert was educated in Walpole public schools and Norfolk County Agricultural School. He was a passionate farmer and former owner and production manager of WalpoleWood workers Inc. for 46 years. Robert was a very active Mason and Shriner. He was a member and three time Past Master of the Azure Lodge A.F. and A.M. in Walpole, Past Monarch at the Mahded rotto Lodge, and member of Baystaters Chapter 74 Masonic Camping Group. Robert was active in Boy Scouts in earlier days. He enjoyed camping and round dancing with his late wife Doris. Robert is survived by three children; Donald R. Willis and his wife Merrie of Foxboro, Alan R. Willis of Foxboro, and Diane E. Hosking and her husband Jeff of Walpole, six randchildren; Jennifer Wilhelm and her husband Chris of North Attleboro, Tara Law and her husband Matt of Wrentham, Kerrie Willis and her fianc Chuck Connors of Nantucket, Crystal Powell and her husband Jack of Foxboro, Weston Hosking of Walpole, and Katelyn Akin and her husband Matthew of Franklin, great grandchildren; Micayla Willis, and Aubrey and Charlotte Connors, and a great great grandson; Tyler Willis. Also survived by his siblings; Janet Ingraham of Franklin, Marion E. Kosmenko of Franklin, Lucille Duquette of Foxboro, and Carolyn Fein of North Attleboro. He was the brother of the late Eleanor J. Willis, Evelyn L. Sarakin, Marjorie Baker, and Elaine Lovell. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 24th at 11 AM in the South Walpole United Methodist Church, 1886 Washington Street, South Walpole, MA.
