Robert D. Varhola
Robert D. Varhola, age 73, of Wesleyville, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born in Yatesboro, Pa. on September 14, 1943, son of the late John and Mary Varhola. Bob and his wife are the managers of the Wesleyville Mobile Home Park. Prior to that, he was a truck driver with Nabisco. Bob was endearingly known as the "Cookie Man" to friends and "Uncle Bob" to family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War. Bob was a member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571, VFW #3390, CYS, W.A.C. and Star Club. Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Rosemarie Varhola; four children, Frank Pollock Jr., Anna Varhola, Michael Fuller and Ethan Fuller; one sister, Helen Hartman; one granddaughter, Madelynne Pollock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, George, John, Andy and Bill Varhola; sisters, Ann Lesneski, Margaret Motley and Mary Caldwell; infant siblings, Helen and John, and a granddaughter, Dream Pollock. Friends will be received at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service there at 5 p.m. The American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 will render honors following the service.
