Robert Zachariah Gerome Trujillo Robert Zachariah GEROME Trujillo left us Sunday, January 8th 2017 at his home in Fort Collins, CO, born on February 20th, 2000. Gerome is survived by his younger siblings, brother; Jayden Trujillo, sister; Jilenna Trujillo. As well as his mother; Tracey Trujillo, grandmother; Lisa Hooley, grandfather; Lewis Trujillo, uncles; Jakob Hooley-Trujillo, Jeremiah Hooley, aunt; Briana Rodriguez, great grandmother; Patricia Hooley. Also his father; Robert Morin, and the Morin family, and countless cousins and friends. In his short life Gerome did not lack in love, compassion, competition, ability, and adventure. He was always seeking a challenge that a new day brought and excelled in everything he tried. Gerome's family is proud of his strong character, achievements, and the way he cared for and mentored his younger brother, Jayden. Gerome was a tall and quiet young man whose magnetic presence drew in a wide array of friends and supporters of his own. Those closest to Gerome observed him taking friends under his wing, whether it be to teach them how to play basketball, stand up to bullies, or mentor them through tough times. Gerome seemed fit to do this because he faced his share of personal challenges, through which his determination, resilience, and ability to serve as a leader for others shone through. In athletics, Gerome's coaches would often remark on his natural talent and abilities. Gerome won regional district championship in wrestling during his last year at Webber Middle School, and was awarded the Fort Collins Mavs MVP in basketball during his second year of high school. Throughout his last years, the only thing Gerome loved more than playing basketball was his friends and girlfriend Gillian Nelson. Gerome's quiet confidence, charisma, and joyous smile was at the center of attention throughout his life. Gerome was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Services will be held at Timberline Church in Fort Collins on Tuesday, January 17th, 2017. Public viewing will be held 9:30-10:45 am, and the service starts at 11:00 am.
