Robert E. "Bob" Terrell
Robert "Bob" E. Terrell, 91, of Winchester, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital, Winchester. He was born July 30, 1925 in Delaware County to the late George C. and Alice (Moon) Terrell. Bob served in the Navy during WW II. He served in the South Pacific Theatre on the destroyer escort USS George. Bob retired from Anchor Hocking Glass in Winchester. He was an avid fan of the Winchester boys and girls basketball teams and enjoyed working in his wood shop. He and his wife also enjoyed spending time at their home on the Indian Chain of Lakes. Survivors include his wife, Janet E. (Miller) Terrell of Winchester; two daughters, Joyce (Steve) Rutledge of Winchester and Roberta (Dave) Puckett of Farmland; four grandchildren, Kelly (Brent) Campbell, Kerry McCoy, both of Winchester, Curt (Mandy) Puckett and Amanda (Jason Huddleston) Puckett, both of Farmland; eight great grandchildren, Cole Campbell, Caitlyn Campbell, Carter Campbell, Cooper McCoy, Alivia McCoy, Karly Puckett, Addison Puckett and Chaden Puckett; a sister, Marilyn (Charles) Upchurch of Yorktown; a sister-in-law, Joanne (Kern) Terrell of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clint Terrell and Keith Terrell; and three sisters, Marjorie DeCamp, Imogene Martin and Joan Moistner. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home, Winchester, with Pastor Danny Hines officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, north of Farmland, with military rites conducted by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
