Robert Scribante June 4, 1938 - Sept. 29, 2016 Resident of Redwood City Robert Scribante, passed away on September 29th at his home. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joann, and his three children, Paul Scribante, Lisa Burton, and Shelly Lewis, three grandchildren, Henry, Charles, and Trudy. Included in his extended family are Celeste Barron and Cynthia Lanz and their children Nicholas, Jessica, Emily, Andrew, Sophia and William. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Bill Zappettini, his nephew John Zappettini and niece Anna Zappettini. Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Zappettini. Bob was a very kind, gentle and loving man who always put others first in his life. He was uniquely gifted and extremely generous with his talents and time to help others. Bob loved to work with his hands whether it was cooking, gardening or woodworking. He enjoyed to fix or build most anything to any challenge, and was always the first person to lend a helping hand in these ways to his family and friends. He was an example of humility, integrity and generosity. Born and raised in Piedmont, CA. He graduated Class of 1956 from Serra High School and went on to earn an Electrical Engineering degree from University of Santa Clara in 1960. Bob owned and operated Electric Service Company in San Francisco for 40 years. Bob was active in the trade association of Electric Apparatus Service Association, Inc. (EASA). In retirement, Bob worked tirelessly for Habitat For Humanity and KAINOS, a local training center to empower the disabled. A memorial service will be held for friends and family to celebrate Bob's life and spirit at 1pm, Saturday November 5th at Peninsula Covenant Church, 3560 Farm Hill Blvd, Redwood City, CA 94061.
