Robert E. Salrin Ventura, CA Robert E. Salrin, who was born November 16, 1927 in Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Jean Salrin; son Robert E. Salrin, Jr.; son-in-law, Douglas L. Field and Roberts parents; Raymond and Helen Salrin. He is survived by daughter, Sheila Field and son, Michael Salrin, wife Shanann, and daughter-in-law Cindy Salrin; including his beloved grandchildren: Kari Salrin, Danielle Donnelly (Nathan), Dillon Salrin (Jessica), Jamie Oswald, (Corey), Cody Salrin, Chad Thompson and Lauren Kirby (Jake); great grandchildren, Landon & Emery Donnelly, Luke & Claire Salrin, Curren Oswald (and a new brother arriving in February 2017), along with close family friend Dee Dubenezic. Both Bob and Jean loved to travel and were fortunate to travel to most parts of the world. Following his retirement, they moved to Ventura 28 years ago and enjoyed Rv'ng and continued to travel and cruise the world. Bob will be remembered for his love of family and sharing the stories of his travels. He was a fantastic husband and father. His greatest joys of life was spending time with family, friends, cruising, and caring for his adored poodle, Bella who stayed by his side unconditionally during the last few weeks of his illness.
