Robert Reidy Naples, FL Robert "Bob" Reidy, 58, of Naples, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness of Juvenile Diabetes at 11-1/2 years of age and Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 27. Bob was born in Tulsa, OK on April 25, 1958, the son of Francis Joseph and Kathryn "Kay" (Kearney) Reidy. He grew up in New Orleans, LA where he attended Loyola University with a full scholarship in voice. He later received his undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans. Bob moved with his parents to Naples nearly 20 years ago. He was a gifted musician/vocalist and composed many original songs. He loved all genres of music and enjoyed playing music with friends. Bob loved tennis in his earlier years of his life and enjoyed watching sports on TV. Bob is survived by his mother, Kathryn Reidy of Naples; three siblings, Ann Roberts of Naples, Stephen Reidy of New Orleans, LA and Sara Reidy of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by 6 nieces/nephews and 8 grand-nieces/nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Francis "Frank" Reidy and his brother Thomas "Tommy" Reidy. The family would like to thank the kind and caring services of Avow Hospice, Curtis Deer-Carroll, Franchette Exema, and Myra Savinovich who unselfishly gave of their time, care and love for Bob's well-being during his lengthy illness. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 2:30 PM in Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL. Burial to follow at the Memorial Garden of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
