In memory of
Robert A. Maculloch Sr.
On February 12, 2017, Robert A. Maculloch Sr. passed away after an extended illness. He was surrounded by his loving wife, Carol, his children, Bobby and Tiffany and a sister-in-law Donna. Born August 6, 1950 to John and Eleanor Warrell Maculloch, Bob lived in Lehman and Dallas, PA during his early years. He graduated from Lake Lehman High School and entered the U.S. Army Reserves where he proudly served for seven years. It was then that he met the love of his life, Carol Graboske, formerly of Nanticoke. They were married in 1972 and soon found a little house on a hill in Hunlock Creek where they welcomed their son, Bobby and daughter, Tiffany. For much of his life, Bob worked for American Asphalt Paving Company and then Slusser Brothers until his retirement. His great joys in life were his family, his home, classic cars, NASCAR Racing and ocean vacations. Bob loved spoiling his grandchildren and hanging out with his in-laws who were his best friends. Bob was the kind of person we all need to strive to be on a daily basis with our family, our work, and loving the simplicities of life. He really enjoyed making sure that things ran smoothly and always to perfection. He was a wonderful husband, proud and adoring father, and hero to his five beautiful grandchildren. We will miss his handsome face and infectious smile, his striking blue eyes, and the loving kindness that permeated his life, his words and his actions. Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Robert and fiancée, Shayna Walker and their sons, Townes of Hunlock Creek and Andrew currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC; daughter, Tiffany Maakestad and her husband, Stephen of Ambler, PA and their daughters, Hannah, Ella and Juliette; brothers, George (wife Barbara), Kenneth, Gene (wife Cheryl), Jimmy (wife Terry) and sisters, Ellen Vernon (husband Dave), Kathy Rozelle (husband Kenny) and Elaine Elliott (fiancé John). Robert is also survived by his in-laws who considered him more their brother, Mel and Jan Graboske, Jim and Linda Atherton, Mark and Karen Spencer, Charlie and Annette Graboske and Donna Eget and Carolyn Beers and best friends since high school, Harry and Jackie Hamersley. "Uncle Bob" will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and many extended family members. He was preceded by his parents, his brother, John and in-laws, Edward and Rose Graboske-Eget. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Zion United Church of Christ, 40 W. Main Street, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Barry Lohman officiating. Interment will follow in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke. ... Show More
