Robert A. Johnson 1927 - 2017 Robert "Bob" A. Johnson, 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at Brookside Care Center. He was born on Nov. 18, 1927, son of the late Roy T. and Rose Marie (Arneth) Johnson. He graduated high school in Negaunee, Mich., and then attended the General Motors Institute of Technology in Flint, Mich. In 1946 he entered the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged on March 23, 1951. He served on the USS Macon. On Sept. 16, 1950, he married Bernadene Rose Tossava at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ishpeming, Mich. Bob began his career at AMC in the drafting design department, he moved to Detroit working at GM-Fisher Body, returning to AMC/Chrysler retiring in 1986. Bob was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed lifting weights, was a great craftsman working with wood, coin collecting, was a self taught musician playing the organ, guitar and accordion and was a fantastic pencil artist. He also enjoyed having coffee with his friends. Bob is survived by his loving wife Bernadene, his children Lindy (James) Ford of Columbia, Mo., Cynthia (Richard) Baumann of Kenosha, Kathleen (Daniel) Roth of Burnsville, Minn., and Robert (Mary) Johnson of Pleasant Prairie, his grandchildren David (Christin) Booth, Michael (Nicole) Booth, Andrea Ford, Jennifer Booth, Brian Burrow, Matthew Ford, Christina Burrow, Bradley (Rebecca) Johnson,m Megan (Hans) Hindrum and Andrew Baumann and his great grandchildren Gabriela Booth, Rylan Booth, Colton Booth, Jack Booth and Aubrey Booth. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookside Care Center for their loving and compassionate care given to Bob. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held on Monday, Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church (corner of 39th Ave. and 73rd St.). Entombment with Full Military Honors will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home and again on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at the church.
