Robert D. Ingersoll Bob passed peacefully from this life on Friday, April 14 at Ohio Living Rockynol. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ellen (Mulkins) Ingersoll, with whom he had three children, Vicky Bogus, Chapy (Carol) Ingersoll and Vernon (Jackie) Ingersoll. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren - Ben (Sarah) Ingersoll, Bethany (Ryan) Ellegood, Kerry (Richard) Hines, Adam (Vanessa) Ingersoll, Kalyn Ingersoll (Jeremy Gann, fiance), Jennifer (Anthony) Goldyn, Michael (Elizabeth) Zorena and Nicki (Bobby) Grambo. He will miss his great-grandchildren, Eli, Eliana, Reagan, Nolan who will soon have a baby sister, Roman, Guy, Angela and Vivian. Bob was very proud of his service to his country and served in World War II with the horse Cavalry and in China-Burma-India. He worked for 37 years at Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton and retired as a supervisor. He got the most joy from working with wood, which he learned from his father. He helped build the home they lived in on Sourek Road in Bath Twp. He built many, many projects for his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Hospice Care of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333 Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 18th, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, Ohio, where the Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, April 19th at 11 a.m. Entombment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
