January 4, 1926 - October 12, 2016 On October 12, 2016 Robert Hodges, "Bob," died in just the way he had hoped to. That is, in his San Clemente home, resting peacefully, with his cherished wife Marilyn and son, Tim, by his side. He was a strong man who loved the active life he and Marilyn shared together for more than 69 years of marriage. Additionally, Bob is survived by his Daughter, Vicki Kloetzer, her husband Karl, and their three children Amy, Erich, Laura. As well as Erich's wife Kristy, all of whom live in the Sacramento area. Additionally, Bob and Marilyn have three Great Grandchildren, Erich and Kristy's sons Reese and Hudson and Laura's daughter Camille. He is also survived by Tim's daughter Anna, who he absolutely adored, as well as Tim's wife Tiffany and her children Vincent and Vyana Dang. Bob was born January 4, 1926. He attended LA High School and USC, and served in the US Navy during World War II. Bob and Marilyn moved to Newport Beach in 1956 to raise their family and live the Southern California Beach lifestyle...which they did to the Max! In their retirement years they traveled primarily between their residences in Newport Beach, Kailua, Kona, and Palm Desert. Bob enjoyed their golf, their many friends and neighbors, and, most of all sharing it with his loving wife, Marilyn.
