Robert G. Ford Born: February 23, 1939; in Hindsboro, IL Died: October 12, 2016; in McHenry, IL Robert "Bob" Ford, 77, of Woodstock passed away October 12, 2016. He was born February 23, 1939 in Hindsboro, IL to Glenn and Rebecca (Turner) Ford. On January 20, 1959 he married Janet "Sis" Eisenmann in Clinton, Iowa. Bob was known to many friends and family as Boo Boo. He worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Local Carpenters Union 2087. Carpentry wasn't just a job for Bob, he was also an excellent woodworker and craftsman. He was connoisseur of tools and owned only the best. He enjoyed working in his yard and loved his John Deere mower. Bob was a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge #1329. From a young age he enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. Growing up Bob was also very athletic, swimming was a particular favorite for him. His love of sports can be seen as a proud Bears and Blackhawks fan. Through everything the most important thing for Bob was his love for his family and he especially loved spending time with his grandkids. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Janet "Sis"; his daughters, Annette (Larry) Roewer, Pamela Torres, and Kasey Ford (Kevin Whaley); his grandchildren, Morgan, Chase, and Robert Roewer, Chelsea, Wesley, and Paige Torres, Jackson and Cade Wilkins; and his sister, Wilma (LeRoy) Rossman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday, October 18 at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 19 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Centegra Hospital-McHenry for all their care and support during this difficult time.
