In memory of
Robert "Bobby" Dunham
Robert "Bobby" Dunham, 55 NEW GLOUCESTER - Robert "Bobby" Dunham, 55, of New Gloucester, went to be with his Heavenly Father on the evening of Feb. 13, 2017, surrounded by his family. Bob was a faithful and loving husband, extraordinary father and a living example of Christlike kindness. Bob was well-known in his community as the owner and face of Dunham Carpentry, Inc., the business he began and successfully ran for over 18 years. Bob loved the outdoors, spending time with his family and friends boating, hunting, camping, and especially fishing. Bob was very well-known in Maine's fishing community. Several years ago Bob established an annual fishing trip with friends and family to upstate New York. Friends in New York came to know Bobby and his crew as "The Maine Boys." Many in the fishing community knew Bob as "Thresher," a nick-name given him after landing a record 451-pound thresher shark, off the coast of Maine. Bob spent a great deal of time using his construction skill set helping those in need: volunteering within his community, church, and chaperoning a missions trip to Nogales, Mexico, overseeing 18 young adults in a construction project. Bob is survived by his "catch of a lifetime" and bride of 32 years, Marybeth Dunham; daughters, Erica and her husband Jourdan St. Laurent, of Yarmouth; and Lauren and her husband Levi Dimauro, of Poland; his precious grandchildren, Nyomi, Jericho, Lydia, Guinevere and Riley; along with siblings Debbie (Roy) Prussner, Stanley Jr. (Alisa) Dunham, Karen Adams, Linda Dunham, Dan Dunham and Donny Dunham; and parents, Stanley and Mildred Woodbury Dunham. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at Life Church, 8 Elkins Rd. in Gorham. Should friends desire, donations can be made to a therapeutic fishing program on behalf of Bob "Thresher" Dunham: Project Healing Waters www.projecthealingwaters.org
