DOVER, Robert Lynn Robert Lynn Dover (Bobby), age 82, passed away October 14, 2016, following complications from Parkinson's disease. Bobby is survived by his wife, Anne, of 59 years; son, Cord (Leslie) of Austin Texas; two grandchildren, Georgia and Jack Dover; brothers, Ralph Dover of Destin, Fl. and Phillip Dover (Wendy) of Stockbridge, Ga; and three nieces and two nephews. Bobby and his two brothers, from a small town in East Tennessee, all graduated Georgia Tech. Bobby was a gifted athlete lettering in football and baseball and continued to be an avid lifelong fan of the Yellow Jackets. For many years he enjoyed running, tennis, and an occasional round of golf. Bobby had a long and successful career with Mead Packaging International. Anne and Bobby also traveled extensively, attending the Tour de France in Paris a number of times. Bobby will be remembered for his sense of humor, sportsmanship, and genuine kindness. Family and friends will gather for a memorial service in the chapel of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church's Activity building located at 85 Mt. Vernon Highway on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 3:00pm with Reverend Thomas Martin officiating. The family will receive visitors immediately after the service.
