Robert T. Dobson
Robert T. Bob or Dobber' Dobson March 21, 1940 - November 27, 2016 Tucson Bob Dobson quietly passed away in his home after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Alexandria, VA and was the eldest son of Robert and Allene Dobson. He is survived by his wife, Pam Holloway-Dobson, his brothers Bill and Jim, their wives Mary and Kim and his nephews Matt and Alex. He is also survived by his Holloway family: Mary, Mike and Kim. Bob spent the early days of his career working with several department stores as a men's wear buyer and later managed department stores at various locations around the Southwest. He finished his career at the Hahn Company where he was the inaugural manager of Horton Plaza. He oversaw the completion and opening of the mall in 1985 and managed the plaza for several years. After Bob and Pam relocated to L.A., he spent a year serving on the L.A. County Civil Grand Jury and he volunteered for many years at the Bob Hope USO at LAX. Bob was an avid fan of the NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also had a passion for thoroughbred racing and attended the races at Del Mar and Hollywood Park whenever possible. A post-Super-Bowl' life celebration for Bob will be held in Carlsbad, CA at the home of Ira and Mindy Schwartz on Saturday Feb. 11, 2017 at 2:00pm.
