QUINCY -- Robert A. "Bob" Chase was born March 22, 1930, in Quincy, a son of Roger and Leatha (Edwards) Chase. Bob passed away Aug. 5, 2011, at the age of 81. Mary (Miller) Chase was born June 19, 1930, in Burton, a daughter of Harlow and Dora (Hartman) Miller. Mary passed away Sept. 1, 2016, at the age of 86. Bob and Mary were married April 24, 1949, at Burton Presbyterian Church in Quincy. Bob and Mary spent a few years in Quincy when they were first married, and then Bob's career with Chrysler Corp. took them to Princeton, then Jamesville, N.Y., and finally to Detroit, Mich., where they lived for many years. After Bob's retirement they moved to Florida and enjoyed many happy years of retirement together. They are survived by their four children, Bonnie Chase Parrinello of Brunswick, Ga., Mike (Sue) Chase of Madison Heights, Mich., Dan (Jenny) Chase of Brunswick and Jonathan (Jane) Chase of Newport, Vt.; grandchildren, Katie Chase of Portland, Ore., Eric Chase of San Diego, Emily Chase of Chicago, Dr. Kevin Chase of St. Paul, Minn., Brian Chase of Sonoma Valley, Calif., Nicole Chase of Brunswick, and Abby Akers Chase, Bill Chase and Alex Chase of Grayling, Mich. Mary is survived by one sister, Janet Ehrhardt of Quincy; two brothers, Luther Miller of Kansas City, Mo., and Otis Miller of Quincy; and three sisters-in-law, Lucille (Russ Miller) Haschemeyer and Phyllis (Bill Miller) Brueggeman of Quincy and Betty (Herb) Miller of Texas. Mary was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, Francis, Donald, Russell, Herbert and William Miller; six sisters-in-law, Florence, Gladys, Jean, Georgene, Ethel and Shirley Miller; and one brother-in-law, Alfred Ehrhardt. Bob was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty and Bud Schaberg of Camp Point and Maurice and Margie Conover of Ursa. SERVICES: Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at Ellington Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron Cox conducting. All family and friends are invited to attend the service as well as the social gathering at the church immediately after the service. VISITATION: 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.
