BARNETT, Robert Henri ROBERT HENRI BARNETT of Georgetown, Texas passed away on January 11, 2017 at his home. He was born on November 11, 1924 in Oakhill, Texas to Ella Woelke and Robert Carroll Barnett. He was a life member of the "Greatest Generation" and a proud World War II Veteran. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946, rising to the rank of Sergeant. His training took him throughout the United States and prepping for his tour to the island of Guam before returning to the United States when the war was over. Robert's life-long passion was working with and for his family to help form their auto-repair businesses as the World's Greatest Diesel Mechanic. Most important he was a loving father, grandfather and great- grandfather. Robert leaves behind his daughters; Judy Bridges of Conroe, Karen Ragsdale (Marvin) of Georgetown; sons, James Barnett (Sandy) of East Bernard, Kimett Barnett of Oglesby and Allen Barnett (Cindy) of Houston. He was a grandfather to seven and great-grandfather to eleven. He is also survived by his brother, Edwin Barnett (Leanda) of Georgetown; sisters, Ruth Woehl (Ernest) of Round Rock, and MaryAnn Goff (Marshall) of Cleveland, Texas. A visitation for Mr. Barnett will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 at 2:30 p.m., at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home located at 14501 North Interstate 35 in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m., in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
