Robert "Bob" P. Anderson March 5, 1954 - October 13, 2016 Aumsville - Our beloved Robert "Bob" Phillip Anderson died peacefully on October 13, 2016 in Salem, Oregon at the age of 62. Bob passed away holding the hand of his wife, best friend & soul mate, Melody Anderson. He is also survived by his children, Michael Anderson, Brian Anderson, Christina Platt (Tommy), Sienna Anderson, and Marshall, Bryan, Austin, and Alyssa Beatty; sisters Sharon Bunch (Calvin) and Janet Kisner (Allen); granddaughters Julia, Abigail, Isabella, and Madeline Platt, and Kiely Anderson; nephew Nicholas Kisner and niece Michelle Archer; and former wives Sherry, Debra, and Lana. His extended family includes sister-in-law, Janine Kidd (Danny), brother-in-law, Devan Stritt, nieces Amanda Nill and Taylor Stritt, and nephew Zach Abbas. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. Anderson and Phyllis H. Anderson, brother Dale Keith Anderson, and grandson Anderson Joseph Platt. Born on March 5, 1954 in Peterborough, NH, Bob attended Glendale HS and Tolleson HS in Arizona. He served in the US Air Force 1972 - 1976 and was a patriotic disabled Vietnam veteran. He retired from the US Postal Service in Salem, OR after 32 years of service. Bob enjoyed riding motorcycles and scooters, and was a member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) and the Oregon Scooter Club. He also participated in the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charity organization. With a heart of gold, Bob loved his family and friends and enjoyed family gatherings, visits, camping/road trips, and spending time together. All who loved him will remember his laugh and smile, and the kindness always shining in his eyes. A graveside service will be held October 31, 2016 at noon at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR, with a reception to follow in Aumsville, OR. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bob's life.
