Rita Rose Millie
Rita Rose Millie, 83, passed away at home on Monday, February 13, 2017. Born and raised in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Pellegrino) Sadutto. Rita was a lifelong area resident and was a faithful and devout Catholic. For many years she provided a warm and loving home for her family, raising her four children and later enjoying time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rita's family will remember her for her excellent cooking, especially her homemade sauce, and for her wonderful sense of humor. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased in 1999 by her beloved husband, the late Charles Millie; her siblings, Steven, John, Concetta and Carmela; as well as her great-grandson, Loegen Siler. Survivors include her son, Charles (Antonietta) Millie of Rotterdam; daughters, Darlene Siler of Schenectady, Tina Weber of Schenectady and Rita (Timothy) Schmidt of Rexford; brother, Patsy; sister, Philomena; six grandchildren, Antonio, Gina, Jaret, Ryan, Amanda and Tyler; four great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Erik, Angelina and Robert. She is also survived by two great-great-grandsons; and several nieces, nephews; and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 17, 2017 at 9am at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Schenectady. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St., Schenectady.
