RICKY MCCUTCHEON Ricky Lynn McCutcheon, 56, of Las Vegas, beloved husband, father and "Papa Ricky," passed away Oct. 10, 2016, at home. Ric was born April 4, 1960 in Henderson, to Jackie Lee and Laura Dorene McCutcheon. He graduated as a talented student athlete from Rancho High School in North Las Vegas in 1978. In the years shortly after, he began a career in masonry, leading to many years running his own successful masonry business. He loved to create and problem-solve, but more importantly, he loved to work hard for the things he earned in life, a legacy he leaves with all who knew him. He was married to Cheryl Lynn Frischknecht May 21, 2005, often saying it was the best thing he ever did. Ric's greatest joy in life was his family, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and serving others in his LDS church congregation and community. He loved to watch his kids' sporting events and the youth he had worked with for many years in church. He went about his life with a smile on his face, quietly doing good for others. Ric will be greatly missed by his wife, Cheryl; his six children Haley (Chase) McCormick, Chase (Aimee) McCutcheon, Daryn Frischknecht, Chance McCutcheon, Blake Frischknecht, and Kade Frischknecht; his two grandchildren; and siblings Tina Ignatowicz, David McCutcheon and Gerry McCutcheon. Visitations will be Friday, Oct. 14 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 15 from noon-1 p.m. at LDS Chapel, 5750 N. Cimarron, Las Vegas, NV 89149. Funeral service follows at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89131. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund at https://www.ldsphilanthropies.org/humanitarian-services .
