RISING FAWN — James Ricky Cannon, 68, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. He was born June 3, 1948, in Fort Payne, Ala. Ricky served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed by Georgia Power Company for 37 years. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed traveling and music throughout his life. Everyone that knew him loved his wonderful sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Haynie Cannon. Ricky is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Cannon; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jamie Cannon, of Rock Spring, Ga.; daughter, Emily Cannon, of Ashville, N.C.; grandchildren, Cash Cannon, Camden and Chance Tinsley; his sister and her husband, Phyllis and Joey Faircloth, of Cedar Bluff, Ala.; three nieces, and a host of friends. A celebration of his life will be Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., EDT at Cloudland Canyon State Park, Group Shelter No. 1.
