Richard Marvin Willis COLUMBIA - Richard was born June 18, 1936 in Shellman, GA to the late Randy and Rebecca Willis. He passed away on February 14, 2017, at Providence Health Hospital, Columbia, SC. He was predeceased by all 14 of his siblings. Richard attended public schools of Albany, GA. He served more than four years in the U. S. Army, after which he was honorably discharged. He was a self-employed, truck driver for RM Willis Trucking, retiring in 2008. He was baptized at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (Shellman, GA), where his father was a pastor. A true outdoorsman, Richard enjoyed spending time in the mountains and having cookouts. He was also a devoted lover of animals. To mourn Richard's loss and cherish his memories are his loving wife of 52 years, Beatrice; his beloved daughter, Antoinnette; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. The homegoing service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, 3:00 PM at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home, 2930 Colonial Drive, with burial in Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 21, 12:00 PM.
