June 1, 1943 - Jan. 12, 2017 Richard Shelby "Red" Tully, longtime resident of Pelham, AL passed away January 12, 2017. He was a graduate of Thompson High School. Red was a longtime musician and was a guitarist for the band High Chaparral's. He loved to fish, and also playing pranks on people. Red enjoyed spending time with his family on road trips traveling the country. Red's favorite hobby was going to flea markets and talking his way to the best price. Red is preceded by his loving wife of 33 years Mildred Louise Payton Tully; parents, George Grider Tully and Mary Frances Tully; sister, Frances Duncan Foster. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Holt (Richard) of Morris, AL, Nancy Beardin (Steve) of Columbiana, AL, Kelly Oliver (Russell) of Brierfield, AL; sons, Richard Tully (Kim) of Shelby, AL and Michael Tully (Lisa), of Bessemer, AL; brother, Roy Lee Grant (Linda); his companion of 18 years, Brenda Moore; and her children Denise Robin, Kim Lamparski, and Johnny Penton; grandchildren, J.T. King, Joshua Holt, Cassy Tully, Stevey Beardin, Victoria Tully, Ricky Tully, Rachel Tully, Payton Tully, Sterling Oliver, Stephanie Oliver, Ryan Oliver, Brittany Mordecai, Erica Vest, Sherry Oliver, April, LJ, Ashley, and Brittany; great grandchildren, Alonna Marie, Terra Ray, Austin, Kaden, Drake, JJ, Christian Faith, Jordan, Jaxton, and Gabe; nephews, Ronnie Collum (Tammy) and Ricky Collum; niece, Christy Collum; and a host of other family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Red's life on Sunday the 15th at 2pm with a visitation starting at 1pm. The burial will follow the service at Pelham City Cemetery. Roll Tide.
