Pindar, Richard Mr. Richard W. Pindar age 86 of Grand Rapids went to be with the Lord Wednesday February 15, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 63 years Mary Lu Pindar (McKinney), his children Ann (Matt) Gryczan, Julie (Rob) Wesholski, Rick (Mary) Pindar, Amy (Jim) Morrissey, MaryBeth (Tim) O'Rourke, T.J. (Kristen) Pindar, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a brother in law Fr. Thomas McKinney and the Stock family cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Marcella Pindar, Aunt Beatrice Willacker and his sister Nancy (Grover) Stock. Richard was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Keeler Brass after 42 years of service. He was an active member of St. Mary's Church, serving as a lector for many years. He was an avid supporter of West Catholic High School where he will be remembered as the loudest cheerleader for his children and grandchildren. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church (First and Turner NW) where he will repose one hour prior to the Mass. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW where the Rosary will be prayed Monday at 8:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church.
