Richard H. Krom SALEM - Richard H. Krom of Salem, Massachusetts, passed away on October 12, 2016. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 15, 1930. He was the son of William and Gladys Krom of Worcester. Dick is survived by his wife Margie; his sweet Cocker Spaniel Daisy; daughter Dianne Trachimowicz of Drakes Island, Maine and her husband Richard; daughter Martha Chiarchiaro of Stow, Massachusetts and her husband Bill; son Bob Krom of Venice, Florida and his wife Terrie; son David Krom of Worcester, Massachusetts; grandson Christopher Trachimowicz of Santa Monica, California and his wife Ashley; granddaughter Kate Trachimowicz of Raymond, New Hampshire and her fiancée Angela; and granddaughter Kristin Krom of Providence, Rhode Island. While living in Worcester, Massachusetts, Dick worked at Wyman-Gordon and then for New England Telephone/Nynex. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a star athlete for Worcester Trade High School. For over 55 years, Dick had great pleasure being with his family on Drakes Island, Maine. He also enjoyed playing and watching golf. His craftsmanship was appreciated by all members of his family. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 18 at 10 a.m. at St. John's Cemetery at 260 Cambridge Street in Worcester.
