Richard Gerald Kolczynski CAMDEN, DE Richard Gerald Kolczynski, 70, of Camden, DE, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Kent General Hospital, Dover, DE. Born in Trenton, NJ, Richard was a longtime resident of Indiana, before moving to Camden, DE. Richard was a retiree of Ball State University, where he was employed as an English professor for 25 years. After his retirement, he was adjunct faculty in English at Delaware State University and was a substitute teacher for Capital School District and Caesar Rodney School in Camden-Wyoming, DE. Richard was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle, great-uncle and educator who will be sorely missed. Son of the late Casimir and Stella Kolczynski, and uncle of the late Matthew Sykes, he is survived by his husband, Jon E. Pace; his sister, Barbara Kolczynski Sykes; one nephew, Daniel Sykes; three great-nieces and one great-nephew, and his sister-in-law, Jane Pace. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Twp. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the daily chapel at the church.
